Royal House Dental Centre is on the corner of Thameside and Station Road, opposite Shaun Dickens’ Restaurant. We are in the four storey red-brick building with black signage above the door.
There is ample parking in the Henley station car park which is a 3 minute walk away.
Yes, we have step-free access through our side door. It is possible to pull up right outside the practice, in the adjacent side road, to make access to the side door as easy as possible.
Yes! All our hygienists are gentle and caring and can go at a pace you are comfortable with. If your gums are already inflamed then they can feel more tender to begin with but with good cleaning this inflammation will settle and your gums will feel stronger and healthier.
Yes, we will confirm your appointment 48 hours beforehand either by text or phone, whichever is your preference.
If it’s your first visit then the appointment will last approximately 30 minutes. The hygienist appointments are usually 30 minutes. If it’s for follow-up treatment then this will depend on what is planned to be carried out – your dentist or receptionist will let you know.
This is mostly about hearing what you would like and whether you have any specific dental problems you wish to tackle. You will be asked to complete a confidential medical history. You will meet your dentist who will take time to listen about what you want. Then the dentist will check your whole mouth and possibly take relevant X-rays and photos. From this your dentist can then discuss what would be the most appropriate action for your individual situation. If there are different options these can be discussed as well.
A check-up and consultation costs £50, X-rays cost £12.50 each (you may need several X-rays up to a maximum charge of £37.50). A hygienist appointment is £95. There is a list of treatment costs here but you will always be provided with a printed treatment plan and costs if you need further treatment.
Yes. We courteously ask that where possible you give 48 hours’ notice to cancel so we are able to offer the time to someone else. You may be charged a fee if the notice is too short and we can’t fill the appointment time.
Let us know if you might be late, we can sometimes still accommodate you by juggling the appointment book. If we can’t fit you in that day then we would offer for you to rearrange.
Please let us know as soon as possible if you are unable to attend your appointment. We are a busy practice and there is usually someone else keen for an appointment at short notice. If you do miss an appointment you may be asked to pay a fee to cover the missed time.
Yes, we can send text or postal reminders for your regular recall appointments.
